This page sets out how we produce what we publish. It exists because readers make spending decisions using our articles, and they are entitled to know how those articles were arrived at.
How our articles are researched
We are a research-based publication. Our articles are built from manufacturer specifications and documentation, published measurements and benchmark results from established independent testing outlets, standards documentation, and practical experience of using this class of technology in Nigerian conditions.
We do not run a testing laboratory, and we do not claim to. Where we describe how a device performs relative to another, we are drawing on published testing rather than our own instrumented measurement. We think it is better to say this plainly than to imply a level of testing we do not carry out.
Where we do have direct experience, it informs the practical sections — how something behaves in daily use, what goes wrong, what the setup process is actually like.
What we prioritise
Durable advice over current rankings. Specific product recommendations date within months. How to choose, what to check, what matters and what does not — that stays useful. Our guides are written to remain accurate after the models change.
The reader’s interest over the manufacturer’s. Several of our articles conclude that the free option is sufficient, that the upgrade is unnecessary, or that the product category is not worth entering. That is what honest advice looks like.
Local relevance. Data cost, power stability, counterfeit risk, repair availability and warranty coverage are part of the assessment, not footnotes.
Uncertainty and dating
Technology writing goes out of date in predictable ways, and we try to handle that honestly.
Prices move constantly and vary by seller. Where we mention cost, it is to illustrate a relationship rather than to quote a figure to rely on.
Availability and policies change — which services accept Nigerian cards, which manufacturers support which features, what a warranty covers. Where something is likely to shift, we say so and tell you to confirm it.
Specifications are taken from manufacturer documentation and can be revised.
We would rather write “confirm this with your bank” than state something that is true this month and misleading next year.
Affiliate links and commercial relationships
We may use affiliate links. Where we do, a purchase made through that link may earn us a commission at no additional cost to you.
Affiliate relationships do not influence what we recommend. We recommend products we believe represent good value, and a substantial amount of our advice — use the free tier, buy the cheaper model, do not buy this at all — earns nothing.
We do not accept payment for coverage. No sponsored posts, no paid reviews, no arrangement giving a manufacturer approval over what we write.
We do not accept payment for a positive assessment, and no manufacturer or agency sees an article before publication.
If any of that changes, this page will say so.
Corrections
If something we published is wrong, we want to fix it.
Contact us through the contact page with the article and what is inaccurate. We check it, and where we are wrong we correct the article itself rather than quietly removing it.
Substantive corrections are made to the text. Technology moves, requirements change, and readers pointing out that something has gone out of date helps everyone who arrives later.
AI disclosure
We use AI tools in our workflow, as most publishers now do — for drafting, restructuring and editing assistance.
Every article is directed, edited, fact-checked and approved by a person before publication. We do not publish unreviewed generated text. Where an article makes a factual claim, that claim has been checked against a source rather than accepted from a model, and we are particularly careful with Nigerian and other local specifics, where AI tools are least reliable and most confident.

Articles are written and edited by our editorial team. We are contactable, we correct our mistakes, and we do not publish anonymously to avoid accountability.
